

Arlene F. Ouellette (Lareau), 89, of Bloomfield, CT passed on into eternal rest Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026, at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT in the fight of cancer for over a long month duration, with the support and love from her family.
Arlene was born on January 28, 1937, the daughter of Late Raymond and Florence Lareau.
In her earlier years she become an machinist at the Royal Typewriter company in Hartford, CT following the heart, loving and caring side she had, she then dedicated a career as a team leader in nursing at a nursing home located in East Hartford, CT as she reached retirement she didn’t want to slow or settle down keeping her busy part time as a housekeeper in Avon, CT and surrounding towns.
Arlene loved her home and created a pretty landscape with plants and flowers she loved.
Anyone that had the privilege of knowing her know and saw she had a beautiful presence about herself, funny loved to dance and more importantly the biggest heart for all, especially for her family, that she cherished beyond words can express and for that she will be forever engraved in many of our hearts.
Arlene is predeceased by her husband Leon Ouellette. Survived by her children: Darlene Buckless of Vernon, CT, Flora Thibodeau and husband Timothy of East Hartford, CT, Stephen Pinto and wife Donna of Enfield, CT; three sisters of 11 siblings: Joyce Hiday Hart and her husband, Bill of Dandridge, TN, Shirley Perkins of Vernon, CT, and Collette Lareau-Lindsley and her husband Howard of Fuquay-Varina, NC; as well as her 11 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.

Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home on 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford. Funeral Home Services will be on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with interment at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery following.
