Charles J. Marks

Charles J. Marks, 100, of East Hartford, more recently of Farmington, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2016, at Jerome Home, in New Britain. He was born in New Britain on June 4, 1915. He was the beloved husband of the late Eileen (Melley) Marks.

Charles was employed for 43 years at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, retiring as a Vice President in 1977.

Charles is survived by his cherished family, daughters Eileen Marks and her husband, Ed Mikolowsky, of Farmington, Margaret Marks of Arlington, MA, sons Charles Marks Jr. of San Diego, CA, and Stephen Marks and his wife, Linda, of Farmington, and 7 grandchildren: Michael, Kristin, Robert, Spencer, James, Garrett and Logan.

In addition to his wife, Eileen, he was predeceased by his sister, Margaret deNaray Lawrence.

The family would like to thank Anna Szelagowska for her loving care of Charles. And express appreciation to Irmina Pentowski, Masonicare Hospice and Jerome Home for their kindness and compassionate care in his final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend a period of calling hours on Monday, January 25, 2016 from 4-7pm at Benjamin J. Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave. East Hartford, CT 06108. Services will begin on Tuesday, January 26, at 10:30am, followed with a Celebration of Life Service at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford.
