Colette (Robert) Cooney, 86, of South Windsor, was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on January, 28, 2016. Colette was the only child of Norbert and Jeanne (Caron) Robert and grew up in the Frog Hollow section of Hartford. In 1947 she married the love of her life, Edward T. Cooney and they moved to East Hartford where they raised their family and later they moved to South Windsor.
Colette loved to explore New England with many trips to her favorite spots in Maine and Cape Cod. At home, she enjoyed nothing more than an afternoon sitting on her deck with her flowers and watching her birds. She was also an avid fan of the Women’s UConn Huskies. The biggest delight in her life was her family and the times she cherished most were those spent surrounded by them.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edward T. Cooney and her son, Timothy Cooney.
