David Paul Leone

David Paul Leone, 74, of East Hartford, passed away on the evening of December 12, 2020. He was the loving husband of Carolyn (Johnson) Leone for 53 wonderful years. Born in New Britain, Connecticut on January 27, 1946, son of the late Paul and Muriel (Hatch) Leone. David was a graduate of Roberson Preparatory School Class of 1964. He was drafted into the United States Army for service in Vietnam. He served honorably ultimately receiving a Bronze Star with “D” devise and a Purple Heart. He was a 30 year employee of Pratt and Whitney Aircraft, starting in the apprenticeship program and working his way through the ranks to the position of Model Manager. David was a member of the American Legion, the VFW and served for 10 years as a Funeral Honor Guard representative of the Army. Besides his devoted wife Carolyn, he is survived by a loving daughter Paula Britton and her husband Richard of Spanaway, WA and a devoted son Mark Leone of Enfield CT, as well as three cherished grandchildren, Morgan, Shawn and Allissa. Funeral Services will be Private at the convenience of the family. Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave. East Hartford, CT. 06108 have been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
