Debora Pitz, 62, of East Hartford, CT passed away June 7, 2018 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Debora was born in Manchester, CT to Robert and Joanne Pitz. Debora graduated from Manchester High school and went on to Northeastern University to become a dental assistant. She decided it wasn’t for her and ended up working for Capital Liquor where she shined. She then began working for Brescome Barton where she became one of the first women working as a sales person. She worked there for many years until her MS forced her to retire.
Even while suffering from MS she still maintained her happy disposition and always had a smile on her face. Debora went through a lot but still maintained a positive personality.
Debora’s contagious smile will be remembered by her mother Joanne Pitz, her sister Catherine and husband Bobby Leighton, her niece and nephew Ashley and Matthew Leighton, and her caregivers Sheri (Auntie), Kristy and Steven. She joined her father Robert Pitz and her husband James Koop in their enteral rest.
A tribute to Debora’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday June 23, 2018 at Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home 318 Burnside Ave. East Hartford, CT 06108.
