
He was born in East Harford on June 23, 1947, to his late parents Francis and Barbara (McPherson) Allison. He was vice president of his class; Hall High School in West Harford class of 1966. While in high school he wrote a get well poem to President Johnson, while he was hospitalized and received a letter of recognition and thanks from the President.
After graduation he worked at Harford Hospital as a male aide, receiving a letter of thanks from Former Governor Ella Grasso for his exceptional work while taking care of her son. He was employed by the hospital for 10 years until his illness. He had a fascination with history, music and shopping for clothes.
He is survived by his brother Kirk Allison and his wife Mary of East Harford, his sister Tracey Allison-Lafountain and her husband Doug of Manchester, his sister Jackie Allison of East Harford and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Trinity Hill in Hartford for their exceptional care over the years.
A brief gathering prior to funeral home service for Francis will be held Friday, March 3, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:40 AM at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave, East Hartford, Connecticut 06108, followed by a funeral home service from 11:40 AM to 12:00 PM.
