Irene Anna (Sullivan) Kiefer, 89, of East Hartford, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 9, 2020. She was born in Hartford, a daughter of the late Daniel Joseph and Helen Anna (Ratigan) Sullivan. She was a crossing guard for the Town of East Hartford for more than 15 years. Her husband Robert George Kiefer predeceased her in 2005. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Irene Kiefer of East Hartford and her son Robert Gregory Kiefer of Manchester, two twin grandchildren Daniel Jared Kiefer of Coventry and Nicole Ashley Kiefer of Manchester. She was predeceased by another daughter Irene Ellen Kiefer in 1959. Funeral services are Tuesday February 18, 2020 at 9AM from the Benjamin J. Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial 10AM in Saint Rose Church, 33 Church St., East Hartford, burial will follow in Silver Lane Cemetery, 1312 Silver Lane, East Hartford.
