Jayne Carol Pendola

Jayne Atkinson Pendola, 74 of East Hartford died peacefully with her family by her side on June 29, 2015. She was born in Fall River and grew up in Swansea, MA and Bloomfield, CT. She attended Bloomfield high school and worked as a legal secretary for many years.

She is survived by her loving husband Ronald Pendola who brought much love, joy, and happiness the last few years of her life and her beloved four daughters. Lori Nicoll Lynch (Chuck) of Westford, MA, Sharon Nicoll of South Windsor, CT, June Nicoll Foley (Ed) of Middletown, CT, and Pamela Nicoll Bidwell (Jim) of Hebron, CT. She was predeceased by her daughter Marla Nicoll. She is also survived by her adored 12 grandchildren; Ryan, Conor, Marla and Morgan Lynch, Tyler, Rachael, and Austin LeBlanc, Nicoll, Sean, and Caroline Foley and Dylan and Jordan Bidwell.

She also leaves 4 step children; Jenny Rolfe (Rob) of East Hartford, CT, Matthew Pendola (Erin) of Reno, NV, Alley and Nicholas Pendola of Westerly, RI.

Jayne is also lovingly survived by her cherished brother and his wife, Russell and Gail Atkinson and her sister Gale Alley. Jayne also leaves behind a very close knit family of cousins and their families. Monthly “Cousin Nights” were held for over 30 years along with summer “Cousin Tuesdays” by the pool, everyone welcome! The support she received from her cousins Star and Peggy was immeasurable.

She leaves behind a treasured neighborhood of friends where she lived for 50 years. She will be missed by many unforgettable friends, too many to list, especially her dear life longs friends Lynn and Patty. She truly loved each and every person she spent time with. She was a confidant counselor to all that looked to her for guidance and support. She was always eager to catch up, chat and talk it over.

Jayne lovingly performed her most valued job of raising her daughters and enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved summers by the pool and the RI shoreline. More than anything, Jayne will be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, wife, grandmother, sister, cousin, friend and neighbor. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, July 2nd, 2015. At 3:00 PM at Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave. East Hartford, CT.

Calling hours will be on Thursday from 12:00 to 3:00 PM at the funeral home
