Jean Paul Paradis

He was born Sept. 27, 1950, in Frenchville, Maine, son of Gerard F. and Jeanine (Marquis) Paradis. He graduated from South Windsor High School where he played many years on the basketball team. He worked at the JC Penney Warehouse and for the last 10 years was residing at Riverside Healthcare where he was the president of the Residents Council. He loved to play games on his computer and enjoyed fishing.

He leaves behind his mother, Jeanine Paradis from Frenchville, Maine; three brothers and their wives, Robert and Judith Paradis, Roger and Patricia Paradis, and Michael and Valerie Paradis; two sisters and their spouses, Ann and Randy Hellburg and Linda and Timothy McLain; his former wife, Carla Connor; 11 nieces and nephews who reside in both Connecticut and Massachusetts, and seven great-nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited Saturday, May 7, from 1 to 4 p.m. to the Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, for a period of visitation prior to the 4 p.m. funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Paul's memory to Riverside HHC Residents Council and Recreational Fund, 745 Main St., East Hartford, CT 06108.
