John McDermott, age 91, of East Hartford, Connecticut a beloved father and grandfather passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, joining his wife Gail McDermott in eternal rest. He is survived by his son Kenneth Busiere and daughter-in-law Marissa as well as his grandchildren Samantha and Konnor. John was predeceased by his son Keith Busiere. A proud veteran, John served his country with honor and was a true patriot. John will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his love for his country and his passion for the outdoors. Calling Hours will be held on Monday June 2, 2025 from 9AM to 11AM. A celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday June 2, 2025 at 11AM. Interment will immediately follow at Hillside Cemetery, Hillside St. East Hartford with Military Honors
