Kwame Owusu-Ansah

Mr. Kwame Owusu Ansah (Peter) aged 59 years husband of Alberta (Theresa Dei Asare) of Vernon, Connecticut since late 2017 passed away unexpectedly on June 19, 2021, of a brief illness at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut; with Wife, family and friends by his side.

Kwame (Peter) was born on November 5th, 1961, in Agona-Ashanti to the Late Kwabena Mensah and Late Akosua Afi all of Agona-Ashanti. Peter affectionately called have six siblings and many many nephews and nieces. Mr. Owusu Ansah was employed by Marlborough Hospital and Advocate incorporated all of Massachusetts. He was a member of the New England SDA Church Worcester and then later became a member of the Greater Hartford SDA Church. He was a lifelong resident of Worcester, Massachusetts, then he married Alberta (Theresa Dei Asare) and they made their home in Vernon. He was a devoted husband and father who cherished time spent with family. He was a lighthearted man with a loving and gentle nature with a great sense of humor and was also accomplished and generous.

Kwame was a problem solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house. He was a spiritual man and got involved in many church activities, including his help in the children’s department. He will be deeply missed by his Wife, friends, family, and all who knew him. In addition to his wife Alberta, he will be deeply missed by Lesley and Jade. Both families would like to express their gratitude towards Saint Francis Hospital, to the Newkirk Funeral House staff for their wonderful care and to our church members and neighbors for their many acts of kindness and support during this difficult time.

Viewing of the body is scheduled for 9am to 10:45am and Memorial Services 10:45am to 12:15pm at the Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home on 318 Burnside Avenue, East Hartford Connecticut, 06108. The celebration of life will be held at Rodeway Inn and Suites, 161 Bridge Street, East Windsor, Connecticut, 06088 on Saturday the 7th of August 2021.
