

Lawrence W. Trudeau, 91, of Newington, formerly of Glastonbury, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2013. He was the husband of 56 years to the late Helen (Elnisky) Trudeau. Lawrence was born Oct. 9, 1921 in Easthampton, MA, a son of the late Robert and Anna (Morin) Trudeau. Lawrence was a proud veteran, having served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and the US Army during the Korean War. He continued his career with the Federal Government until retirement, and was also a member of the CT Army National Guard earning the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. During retirement he took up golf and enjoyed playing the game. Larry was also an avid Boston Red Sox baseball fan. Lawrence is survived by his two children and their families; Larry Trudeau Jr., and his wife Susan of East Hampton, CT, daughter Karen Miller and her husband Jack of Kennebunkport, ME.
Friends and family are invited to attend a period of visitation on Monday, May 27th from 4-6p.m. at Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Tnpk., Glastonbury, CT 06033. A Mass of Christian Burial is to be held on Tuesday, May 28th, at 10a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Rd., South Glastonbury, everyone is asked to meet at church.
