Lesley M. Chase

Lesley Marie Chase, 70, of Windsor, passed away peacefully with her family and friends by her side on October 9, 2017. She was born on February 20, 1947, in Hartford, a daughter of the late Eldridge and Isabelle (Smith) Derrick. Lesley was the beloved wife of the late Paul Chase.

Lesley grew up and attended local schools in East Hartford. She was an avid Giants, Red Sox and UConn Men’s basketball fan (sorry Lesley, not your year!). She enjoyed reading, playing cards, family game night and vacations along the CT shore. She loved hosting special occasions at her home including holidays and her annual Kentucky Derby Party. She was a loving mother and grandmother to her family and many others. Lesley adored her family, never wasting a single precious moment with them. They were her greatest joy and her largest accomplishment.

She will be dearly missed by her loving children; daughters Tracy Magnotta and her husband John, Jennifer Chase and Sarah Chase all of Windsor, son Paul Chase and his wife Ana of Vernon, 4 cherished grandchildren; Jacob and Jessica Magnotta, Julian Velazquez, Carolina “CC” Chase, brother Kenneth Derrick and his wife Deborah, sisters Margaret Reggio and her husband Bill and Beatrice Wilson and her husband Gary, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and her husband Paul, Lesley is predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Karen and Paul Kelly.

Friends and family are invited to come Celebrate Lesley’s life and all she meant to us on Friday, October 13, 2017 10am-1pm at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT 06108.
