Louise Blanchet

Louise Blanchet, 64, of East Hartford, CT and Cape Canaveral, FL passed away on October 16, 2016. She was predeceased by her parents Jean and Rose Eva (Roy) Blanchet and her brother, Dennis Blanchet.

During her years living in CT, Louise was a Real Estate Appraiser for the State of Connecticut. Louise loved sandy beaches and listening to the ocean’s waves, easily and frequently enjoyed from her home in Florida. She had a way of always seeing the good in people. Even as her health deteriorated, she remained positive and maintained her admirable sense of humor, always trying to make those around her smile. She truly had a beautiful spirit. Her black and white cat Oreo held a special place in her heart. Louise had a special bond with her only niece, Kerri, sharing many special moments together.

She leaves to celebrate her life her two brothers Pierre Blanchet and his wife Judith of Cheshire, CT and Michael Blanchet and his wife Linda of Columbia, CT. She also leaves her niece, Kerri Remington and three nephews Jamie Cyr, Daniel Blanchet and Jeffrey Blanchet, as well as grand nieces and nephews, and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Monday, October 24, 2016 at 6:00 PM, prior to a Celebration of Life service to take place at 7:00 PM that evening at the Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home 318 Burnside Ave. East Hartford, CT 06108.
