

Marcel “Adrian” Anthony Rochester, 61, peacefully passed on August 30, 2025. He was born on November 9, 1963 in the parish of Clarendon, Jamaica West Indies. He migrated to America at age 18 where he lived in Brooklyn, NY. He rode all over Manhattan as a bike courier, then worked for Goldman Sachs before joining the US Army. He later married his childhood sweetheart Claudia Stephens and moved to Hartford, CT eventually settling in East Hartford. Together they raised their five children and built a life of joy and love. Adrian devoted himself to his family Adrian spent many years as a professional driver where his positive aura led to strong relationships with recurring passengers or inspiring conversations with new people
every day. Part of his work included medical transportation for Dialysis patients. This made him especially proud because he was proving a meaningful service. There’s no doubt that Adrian touched the lives of many and will be forever missed. Adrian’s motto for life was, “I have places to go, things to do, people to see and a rendezvous with destiny.” He lived a life of service to this country, his work, his family,
and to God. He’s survived by his beloved wife, his parents, six siblings, five children, ten grandchildren who affectionately called him Papa, and a village of family members who all loved him dearly.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday September 11, 2025 from 4PM-7PM. A brief gathering will be held on Friday September 12, 2025 from 10AM to 11AM. A Prayer Service will be held at the Funeral Home from 11AM to 12PM. Interment will immediately follow at 12:30 at Silver Lane Cemetery, Silver Lane East Hartford with Military Honors
