

Marie "Terry" Langlais passed away at home on March 3, 2025, at 80 years young, surrounded by her loving family. Terry was born on March 12, 1944, in Madawaska, Maine. Terry spent many years enjoying her work at Aetna, Dr. Gagnon’s medical practice, and retired from the East Hartford Housing Authority. Terry lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed many sunsets on the beach in South Carolina and Sebago Lake, Maine. Terry cherished spending time with her loving husband of 59 years, Bob, her family, and dear friends sharing laughs, hugs, and creating beautiful memories. Her most treasured times were being a loving wife, mom to her boys, and proud mémère to her grandchildren. It was truly a gift to know Terry’s love and she will remain a bright light in the lives of everyone she met.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph “Bob” Langlais; her sons Mark Langlais and wife Anna, Steven Langlais and wife Colleen, and her treasured grandchildren, Kylie, Callie, Chase, Kelsey, and Garon. She also leaves her brother Joseph “Phil” Garon and wife Dineen and many nieces and nephews.
Terry was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Cecile (Moreau) Garon, her brother Roger, her brother Bertrand and his wife Judy, her beloved sister Bernadette, and her nephew Paul Violette.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 14, 2025, from 9 - 11 a.m. at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, East Hartford, CT. A mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:30 at St. Mary’s Church, 15 Maplewood Ave. East Hartford. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Terry's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org, a cause close to Terry’s heart.
