Mary Ann Martin

Mary Ann (Boronski, Scott) Martin, 76, Beloved wife of James P. Martin of East Hartford, passed away on Friday (February 6, 2015). Born on December 24, 1938 in Worcester, MA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Cerbinski) Boronski. She worked as a teacher in East Hartford for 37 years at Hockanum, Pitkin, and the O’Connell schools and East Hartford Middle School.

In addition to her husband James of 27 years, she is survived by her brother Robert Boronski and his wife Donna of Rhode Island, niece Beth Boronski, nephews; Eric Boronski and his wife Brenda and Jason Boronski, great niece Rebekah Boronski, step-son Michael Martin and his wife Laurie of Marlborough and two very special step-granddaughters, Erika and Kelly Martin. Mary Ann enjoyed the simple things in life and will be truly missed.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday (February 11th) from 5-7 pm at the Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave, East Hartford. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday (February 12th) at 10am, at St Rose Church, 33 Church Street, East Hartford. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
