

Ralph A. Serignese 85, lifelong resident of East Hartford, went into the Lords Hand on July 30th 2011. Ralph was the widower of Naola (Pivnick) Serignese. He was born September 17, 1925 in East Hartford son of the late Pasquale Serignese & Marie (Libra) Serignese. He served his country in the US Army during WWII in the Pacific. He belonged to the Italian American Club and served as a trustee for many years, a longtime communicant of St. Mary’s Church serving as President of the Men’s Club from 70-72’ and always helping out with Bingo. He was a member of the North End Seniors, on the Commission of the Elderly, Treasurer of the Teamsters 559 Retirees, a member of the First District Democrats, town committee where he was appointed Justice of the Peace and a member of the VFW.
He leaves his two sons Louis Serignese and his wife Debbie of Farmington and Kenneth Serignese and his wife Patti of New Britain: a daughter Marie Serignese and her boyfriend Harold McAtee of East Hartford: a sister in law Mrs. Joseph Serignese and her family along with cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Besides both parents and his wife he was predeceased by a son Mark, three brothers and a sister.
Funeral Services will be Thursday Aug 4th at 8:45 am at the Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., followed by his Liturgy of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 am in St. Mary’s Church, 15 Maplewood Ave., with burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery, all in East Hartford. Calling hours are on Wednesday Aug 3rd from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
