Richard Peter Bezzini II, passed away unexpectedly from this earth into God’s loving arms on Friday, December 29, 2012. He was born November 27, 1948, and was a lifelong resident of East Hartford. He was predeceased by his beloved mother Mary (Zoppa) Bezzini and his father Richard Bezzini. He is survived by his devoted wife and love of his life, Carole Spinney Bezzini; his much beloved sister and brother in-law Carol and Roger Vertefeuille of Wethersfield, CT; his sister Mary Ann Bezzini of East Hartford, CT; his sister in-law and brother in-law Jon and Kathleen Holmstrom of Bristol NH; his surrogate brother and longtime dear friend Felix Del Greco of Simsbury, CT; many aunts, uncles and cousins both living and deceased; a multitude of friends all of whom knew what a special person he was. Richard was always willing to help anyone in need. He was known for saying “Don’t worry I will take care of this”. Kindness was the soul of his body. Smile when you remember me.
Richard’s pet project was his 1966 GTO. He was always looking for parts to put it back on the road. This car was a classic and would have been an “eye stopper”. Unfortunately he was never able to finish it.
Richard loved all of his canine pets especially his “Angel Casey”. He had recently developed a special place in his heart for Napoleon his adopted Shih Tzu Poodle. Napo would wait for hours staring at the back door until he heard the sound of Richie’s car then the fun began. He too, immediately felt Richie’s kindness.
