Born April 28, 1926, in Quebec, Canada, Simone was raised in a home filled with love as one of 16 children. As a young woman, she moved to the United States, where she built a life rooted in family and friendship. She was married to John P. St. Onge for 63 years, until his passing.
Simone worked for many years at Heublein Spirits and Underwood Typewriters. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially around the card table, and loved traveling.
She is survived by her sons, Robert and Ronnie St. Onge; her grandchildren, Brian, Adam, Steven, and Stephanie; and her 10 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held Friday, January 30th, from 4:00–6:00 p.m. at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 31st, at 10AM, at Saint Mary’s Church, 15 Maplewood Ave., East Hartford. Burial will follow in Silver Lane Cemetery.
