Stanley “Papa” “Babe” Dolinski, 69, of East Hartford, passed away peacefully in his home Tuesday November 13, 2018. Born November 30, 1948 to the late Barbara (Morelli) Dolinski and Paul Dolinski Sr. He was 1 of 5 siblings. Stanley loved to fish, he was an amazing artist but his passion was woodworking. He passed that trait down to his grandson Kyle. He was a NY Yankee, NY Giants and the Boston Celtics fan. He was a hard worker and a great man. He was a father to all, many called him Papa even though some were not related. Every morning he would go to his daughter Kelli’s house for a fresh cup of coffee and to bring his great grandson Gavin some sort of treat. She will miss those times. He would poke fun at those he loved. Sometimes giving the bird, or saying go away. He even had a door mat that said it. He had a tough exterior but would do anything for anyone, he would always complain about it until it was done and then he would be proud of what he did. Stanley was a union painter for Daniel Goodison for over 40 years until he retired in 2008.
Stanley will be greatly missed by; His daughter Kelli Dolinski Telesco and her husband (and Stanley’s best friend) George Telesco, his stepdaughter Kim Elliott, his stepson Tom Elliott and wife Leah. His grandchildren Valyn Dolinski, Ryan “Kyle” Dolinski, Kenneth Elliott, Kassandra Elliott, Ashley Elliott, Victoria Elliott, and Thomas Elliott. Also his great grandson Gavin Elliott Waite. His story will be passed on by his loving sisters Christine Roder and her husband Rich, and Debbie Riccardo and her husband Peter. He is predeceased by his two brothers Raymond and Paul Dolinski. He will also be missed by nieces, nephews, cousins and mostly his furry grandchildren. They are still waiting for treats.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday December 8, 2018 from 10:00- 12:30 at Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home 318 Burnside Ave. East Hartford, CT 06108. For more information or to leave an online condolence please visit www.Newkirk&Whitney.com
