Terry A. Ferris

Terry A. Ferris of Vernon, CT passed away unexpectedly on July 5, 2017 at the age of 60 in Lewiston, ME surrounded by his family and friends. Terry was born on December 26, 1956 in Bangor, ME to Dolores and Donald Ferris. He grew up in East Hartford, CT, graduated from Cheney Tech High School in Manchester, CT, and went on to work as a tech at Coca Cola for 36 years where he was valued and well liked. Terry loved spending time visiting family and friends, fishing, boating, hunting, snowmobiling, atv-ing, and collecting sports and NASCAR memorabilia. Terry was predeceased by his father Donald Ferris, sisters Diana and Kelly Ferris, and step-father Wayne McKinney. Terry is survived by his mother Dolores McKinney and Aunt Norma Tuttle of Vernon, CT, his niece Meranda and husband Michael VanDeventer and their three children, Kevin, Kyle, and Caden of Tolland, CT, his nephew Mark Jr. Phelps and wife Brittanny and their two children, Mark III and Kylie of Stafford, CT, his nephew Tyler Phelps of Newington, CT, and his lifelong friends, Scott and Theresa Webber and their children, Jeremy, Joshua, and Justin. Terry will be greatly missed for his contagious laugh, great sense of humor and heart of gold! Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 22 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. with a Celebration Of Life Service immediately following at 3pm, both to be held at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT 06108.
