Theresa P. Tostarelli

Theresa P. “Dolly” Tostarelli, 93 of East Hartford passed away peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2026. She was born October 19, 1932 in Hartford, CT a daughter of the late Phillip A. and Philomena (DePalma) Tostarelli Sr.. Although Theresa did not have kids of her own she often considered the many girl scouts she lead to be her children for over 51 years. She enjoyed bowling and traveling to see new places and an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Her nieces held a special place in her heart. Theresa worked for Lewtan Advertising and later CT. State Dental Association as a receptionist.

Theresa is survived by her fiancé, Joseph Piazza of East Hartford, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by eight siblings, Mildred Balkas and husband Raymond, Angeline Tostarelli, Frank J. Tostarelli and his wife Jean, Philip N. Tostarelli and wife Viola, Mary A. Pulver and husband John, Rose (Tostarelli) George and husband Patsy, Michael Tostarelli Sr. and wife Sylvia, Antoinette M. Tostarelli a nephew Phillip J. Tostarelli and a niece Connie Gardiner.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 9-11am at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT. A funeral service will follow at 11am and continue with committal prayers at St. Mary Cemetery, Burnside Ave., East Hartford.
