Alice Marie Wilson Vielbig

Passed away on August 10, 2014 at the age of 85. Alice was born September 23, 1928 in Queens, NY to Joseph Wilson and Mary (Cavanaugh) Wilson. She was a wonderful wife of 62 years to A. John Vielbig, and a devoted mother of ten children. Alice was a volunteer for many years, especially with the Capital Area Interfaith Respite (C.A.R.E.) and St. Thomas Catholic Church of East Lansing. Alice enjoyed life in so many ways, and brought smiles to so many throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, A. John Vielbig, and son, Kenneth Vielbig. Surviving are six daughters, Patricia (Kevin) Martin, Terri Walker, Catherine (James) Mosher, Mary (Nancy VanGilder) Vielbig, Joan Vielbig and Jennifer (Dave) Tackett; three sons, James (Lisa) Vielbig, Joe Vielbig and Tom (Teri) Vielbig; grandchildren, George Martin, Amanda (Chris) Koch, Erik Walker, Emily (Tony) Foster, Kelly and Matthew Mosher, Drew, Erin, Laura, Nick, Jonathon and Jake Vielbig; great-grandchildren Declan and Skylar and sister-in-law Marguerite (Lenny) Perry. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2014, 11:00 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Road, East Lansing. The family will receive friends at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 East Grand River Avenue, East Lansing on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, 2-4 and 6-8 pm and one hour prior to the service at the church. The Rosary will be prayed at 7 pm on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Vincent Society of St. Thomas, or Greater Lansing Food Bank, P. O.
