Angela "Helen" Marie Turpin

Haslett, Michigan

Born August 12, 1929 to Joseph and Opalma Bourque of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, passed away September 17, 2012 at the age of 83. Helen was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a dedicated member of the Roman Catholic Church.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, David and her daughter Kathie. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Lloyd) Getzen, Patty (Ernie) McGill, and Mary (Nadim) Salim; sons, David R. (Inge) Turpin, III, Joseph (Patricia) Turpin, Dennis (Valarie) Turpin and William (Tammi) Turpin; 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 21, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Rd., East Lansing, with the Rev. James Lothamer, officiating. The Rite of Committal will be held following the service at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family will also receive friends at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing on Thursday from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. The family will also receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
