Betty M. Hagaman

Betty M. (Stehlik) Hagaman, age 82, of East Lansing, MI, passed away June 5, 2014, after a struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born August 8, 1931 in Ashley, MI, to the late Frank and Mary Ann (Pelc) Stehlik. Betty graduated from Alma High School and Lansing Business School. She worked as an accountant and retired from Peoria Journal Star, Peoria, IL in 1995. She married Ronald A. Hagaman June 22, 1956 at The Peoples Church, East Lansing, MI.

Betty was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Dinstbier and Joan Nothtine. She is survived by two brothers, George and Robert Stehlik; and two sisters, Mildred and Alice Stehlik.

Betty enjoyed gardening and was active in the Meridian Garden Club. There was a time when she had a very large Hosta and Day Lily Garden.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI 48823. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Capital Area Regional Office Regional Office, 2111 University Park Dr., Ste 200, Okemos, MI 49964.
