Betty J. Orr

Betty was a member of St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and the Altar Society since 1970. She was employed by MSU for over 27 years and went back to school to complete her high school education, graduating in 1976 with her oldest granddaughter. Betty was quite the seamstress and shared all of her talents with family and friends. She was also a great story teller always starting her story with a nugget of truth.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Paul Orr, son-in-law Robert, daughter-in-law Carole, brother Robert, sisters; Beatrice Baker, Anna Partipilo and Joyce Day. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter Beverly Coolidge; sons, Kenneth (Kathy Doyle) Orr, and Jerry (Lucy) Orr. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday October 10, 2016, 11:00 a.m., St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Rd. East Lansing, MI with interment at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 pm on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI.
