Carl Vinson Bryson

Carl Vinson Bryson, age 74, of East Lansing, Michigan went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 13, 2023. He was born July 18, 1948 in Detroit, MI to LC and Elizabeth Bryson. Carl graduated from Southeastern High School before attending University of Michigan for his undergraduate education. He received his Juris Doctorate from University of Michigan Law School and was accepted in the State Bar in 1974. Carl practiced Real Estate Law for 45 years, the majority for MSHDA.

Carl was an avid University of Michigan basketball and football fan. He was an avid newspaper reader and enjoyed keeping up with current events. His favorite music was the golden age of Motown. He was a movie buff, his favorite films being The Godfather parts I and II. Carl was fiercely loyal and served as the protector for his family.

Surviving are his son, Chad Bryson; sisters, Jeannette (Marlon) Booth and Joyce (George) Scott; sister-in-law, Sharon (Greg Blanchette) Wendell; brother-in-law, Mike (Sue) Kroll; brother-in-law, Royce (Pam) Kroll; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by wife, Janis Bryson; brother, Lee Bryson; sisters Annette Irving and Linda Bethel; parents LC and Elizabeth Bryson; grandmother Fannie Lou Martin; mother-in-law, Roberta Olson; sisters-in-law, Diane Bryson and Bobbie Spence.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Gorsline Runciman East Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River Ave, East Lansing, with Pastor Zerit Yohannes officiating. Family hour will be from 12:00 pm until the time of service. Interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery.
