Marce was born to parents, Carl and Mabel on July 13, 1922 in Port Huron, Michigan. She passed away on March 15, 2023 at the age of 100. During her early childhood the family settled in East Lansing, Michigan. After graduating from East Lansing High School she entered Michigan State College that fall, and was a member of the Delta Zeta Beta Rho Sorority. She graduated from MSC (MSU) with a BS in Chemistry. Right after graduation, Marce married John Searles "Buck" Weaver on March 10, 1945. She would never admit being "high school sweethearts", yet they were! In 1951 they built a home in Okemos, Michigan, and raised three sons. In the early 1960's Marce began a 25 year career as a Chemist in the MSU Food Science Department. After retiring from MSU, Marce continued a 20 year service as a volunteer in the Sparrow Hospital Gift Shop.
Marce was a longtime member of the Faith Lutheran Church. For enjoyment, Marce played cards in many different bridge clubs and loved the company of her many friends.
Marce was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Betty Lockwood; her brother, Jim; her son, John "Randy" Weaver; and her husband, "Buck." At the time of Buck's death at age 89 Marce and Buck had been married 65 years.
Marce is survived by sons, Charles and James; grandsons, Jason (Maddie), Joshua (Leslie); and great-grandchildren, Natalie, Leah, and Beckett Weaver; many nieces and nephews; extended family, Susan and Bill Cochrane of California and their children, Kristen and Matthew.
Many thanks and great appreciation to the fine people and Aides at the Dobie Road Ingham County Medical Care Facility for their loving care of the woman they knew as Carol Weaver during the past four and one-half years. They would always tell of Carol's good nature, warmth, cheerfulness, humor, and super outlook on life.
No Services will be held.
Now, Marce bids a fond farewell to 100 years of memories and friends.
