Carol Mavis White, age 96, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025, in Williamston, Michigan. Born on October 15, 1928, she was the beloved daughter of Albert James Shaw and Pearl Ida (Histed) Shaw.
Carol retired from Boersma Travel in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she dedicated many years of service. A longtime member of the Methodist Church in Dexter, Michigan, her faith and community were important aspects of her life. In her youth, Carol enjoyed bowling and carried a lifelong love for dogs.
She was predeceased by her parents and her brothers Keith (Lou) Shaw and Alan (Mary Lou) Shaw. Carol is survived by her nieces and nephews: Christopher (Diane) Shaw, Laura Rivendell, Pat Shaw (Nicole Brown), Thomas Shaw, John Shaw, Susan Shaw, Jill Kercher, Jeff (Karen) Shaw, Andrew Shaw, and Coleen (Thomas) Lerch. She also leaves behind many great-nieces and great-nephews who will remember her fondly.
Carol’s memory will be cherished by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
A visitation will be held to celebrate Carols life on Thursday, January 30th, 2025 at Gorsline-Runciman East Lansing Chapel located at 1730 E. Grand River Ave. East Lansing, MI 48823 from 6-8pm.
