Charles Robert Pischea, 79, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, July 22, 2018. He was born September 22, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan to Charles and Marian (Burman) Pischea, and grew up in Grosse Pointe before marrying and settling in Haslett where he and his wife of 56 years, Ann, raised their family. Charlie was an avid Detroit sports fan and loved watching the Lions, Tigers and his beloved Red Wings. He believed in giving back to the community, serving as a coach to his kids’ sports teams and as a member of the Haslett School Board; and had a rewarding career as a stockbroker and financial advisor. He found serenity in woodworking - making furniture, dollhouses, and later, model ships for his family to admire and enjoy.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Ann (Elliott) Pischea; his children, Mark Pischea, Michelle (Debbie Crispin) Pischea, Scott (Aimee) Pischea, Jennifer (Michael) Sullivan, and Rebecca (Noel) Hall; his grandchildren, Brad, M.J., Mitchell, Aaron, Mikhail, Alyssa, Charlotte, Emma, Lance, Sydney, Maddie, Brendan, Ryan, Zoe, Margaret, Jenna, and Griffin.
The family would like to thank McLaren Hospice, especially Chelssie Smith, for their wonderful compassion and kindness over the past months.
According to his wishes, memorial services will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made in Charlie's honor to McLaren Hospice.
