Christin Eileen Grant

Christin Eileen Grant, age 37 of Haslett, Michigan, passed away on January 21, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan. She has no more pain and is in the arms of our Lord. Heaven has truly gained another angel.

Genuinely the sweetest person you ever met, Christin was born on August 23, 1980 in Nürnberg, Germany to Cecil and Sabine Simpson and loved her German roots.

Christin and her soulmate, Josh, were high school sweethearts. Introduced by a cousin, they met when they were just 15-years-old. He was a Grand Ledge Comet, she was an East Lansing Trojan. Although they went their separate ways for a few years to learn about life, fate stepped in and reunited them again at 21-years-old and they have been inseparable since. A few years later they married. The two have been married for 10 years.

She was a devoted wife and mom. Christin loved her children, Katjana and Tyler, more than anything.

She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, taking care of her hummingbirds and craft nights with the girls. Christin especially looked forward to annual summer camping trips to Upper Michigan with her family and closest friends.

Surviving are her husband, Josh; children, Katjana and Tyler; parents, Cecil and Sabine Simpson; in-laws, Terry and Sharon Grant; brother-in-law, Brian (Lori) Grant; sister-in-law, Barbara Overly and many aunts, uncles cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation at Gorsline Runciman East Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River, East Lansing, Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

Funeral service at South Church, 5250 Cornerstone Dr., Lansing, Friday at 12 noon.

Burial will follow at Delta Center Cemetery in Lansing.
