

Clemens Joseph Hohl, 74, passed away on May 29, 2016, in Howell, MI, after a five year battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born November 4, 1941 in Springfield, IL., to parents Clemens A. Hohl and Fannie Angiline Hohl, both deceased. Surviving to cherish the memory of Clem are his wife Susan (Millikin) Hohl, son Eric David (Ratchanida) Hohl, grandson Dimitri Asawin Hohl, brother David (Betty) Hohl, sisters Ruthie (Bruce) Hoefnagel, Rheta Miller, and Robin (Scott) Hohl, and dearly loved nephews Craig, Dan, Jake, Justin, and Connor, and nieces Marla, Alison, and Rachael. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1959. He worked for Farm Bureau Insurance and retired in 2003. His hobbies in his early years were water and snow skiing, racquetball, golf, hiking, running marathons and working out in the gym. He enjoyed vacationing out west, particularly in Jackson, WY., Vail, CO., Scottsdale, AZ., and Lake Tahoe, CA. In his latter years going for walks with his golden retriever, Keike, and his friends' dogs Mona Lisa, a basset hound, and Reese, an Australian Shepherd, brought him the most happiness. Private services will be held at a later date. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 East Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI.
