Dolores worked at Ford Motor Company as a secretary for many years. She got married later in life and stayed home to raise her daughters. When the girls got older; she went back to work as a librarian for the Okemos Public Schools, where she worked for many years until she retired.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James; and sister, Carol. She is survived by her husband, Theodore William Dixon; daughters, Martha (Tim) Mundt and Laura (Bob) Smith; grandchildren, Kathryn (Todd) Ackerman, Brandon (Amanda) Mundt, Jeffrey Smith, Austin (Montana) Mundt, Gabriella (Zachary) Pringle, Cameron Mundt; great-granddaughter, Emilia Mundt; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Malcolm; nephew, Thomas (DeAnna) Malcolm and family, and nephew, David (Rina) Malcolm and family.
In accordance with Dolores’ wishes, cremation has taken place and a family memorial will take place at a later date.
