

In June of 1939 he came to the United States and grew up in New Haven, CT. In 1953 he graduated from Yale University and received his doctorate in statistics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1961. He retired as professor of statistics at Michigan State University in 2001.
Dorian loved games - especially chess, literature - especially Shakespeare, and music - especially Mozart and Sidney Bechet.
He was predeceased by his son Jeffrey Feldman. Surviving are his wife Ann Feldman; daughter Sharon (Louis Porter) Feldman of Okemos; sons Brian (Merrill Philips) Feldman of Washington DC and Mark (Lila Carroll) Feldman of Manhattan Beach, CA and grandchild John Feldman. Also surviving is his sister Madeline (John) Baer of New York City, NY; nephew K.C. Baer of New York City, NY; and niece Emily Baer of Venice, CA.
Graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery Saturday, January 17, 2015 at noon. A reception will be held after interment. The family will receive friends 5-7pm Friday, January 16th at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 East Grand River Avenue, East Lansing.
