

Eldora was employed by MSU as a Lab Technician for 28 years and raised a family of four children. She was a leader and active in 4H, enjoyed her exercise class at Meridian Mall, and loved to garden. She was very active in her church, the First Christian Church (Disciples in Christ), serving as a Sunday school teacher, an elder and deaconess, and taught bible classes as well.
Eldora was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Loyed Spooner in 2014; her sister, Donna Lafler in 1986; and her parents. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Viola (Roger) Troyer, Ray Spooner, Robert (Patti) Spooner, Ralph (Beth) Spooner; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Services will take place at 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at First Christian Church (Disciples in Christ), 1001 Chester Rd, Lansing, MI officiated by Rev. Dr. Rick Boyd. Visitation on Monday, January 30, 2017 will take place from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Gorsline Runciman East Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River Ave, East Lansing, MI, and one hour prior to service at the church.
