Emma Meyer is deeply missed and lives on in some way, in our hearts and lives. 

I appreciate the deep friendship she shared with my sister, and enjoyed spending a Thanksgiving with her in a cabin in the woods. She was gentle, smart, and kind. Her absence is a real loss.

 May the grief we feel deepen the love and gratitude we have for Emma. ❤️

We have been thinking of you constantly this week as we try to process the loss of Emma.  Emma was such a force of nature with her intellect and kindness, and a dear friend to our daughter, Vanessa.  I think of them as “two peas in a pod” due to their common curiosity and the seriousness with which they approached the world. We are so, so sorry for your loss.  Mary Beth, I remember well the lunch we had with the girls in New York, some years ago now.  I enjoyed meeting you and experiencing a mother-daughter moment.  Because of Emma and Vanessa’s relationship, we think of Emma as a member of our family.  We will miss her terribly.  We cannot imagine what you are going through. You are in our hearts and prayers.

Dear Meyer Family,
 The staff of the Northfield Skating School is heartbroken to learn of Emma's passing and shares our deepest condolences with all of you. I  supervised Emma 10 years ago when she was a Carleton student working as a coach for the skating school. She was a wonderful team member, a dedicated instructor, and a role model to many. We extend our hearts to you and will continue to honor Emma's impact on many, many young lives in Northfield.

I had the privilege of being Emma's friend in New York during the years that we overlapped there. I hope never to forget the first time we met -- I saw her across the room: sweet, vulnerable, present, searching -- I knew even before speaking to her that our lives would intersect meaningfully.  I felt intuitively that she was a special, kindred spirit.  I loved her very much, and still do.  

Since her passing, she has been on my mind constantly. I am overwhelmed by sadness for the joys she will not experience, but also filled with gratitude for the woman she was able to be while she was with us, for what she shared with me and what she taught me. I will carry her in my heart.  My deepest sympathies extend to her family and closest friends.

I thank Emma for what she brought to our lives.   .....i Keep thinking of little Emma's  sweet face  as she rode in the back of my car,  stating her Emma wisdom....... The Emma wisdom and perspective grew along with Emma.   She added so much to the life of my daughter (and to me, because of that).   

Emma was a beautiful, gifted woman.   You did so much for her, and her accomplishments are a tribute to what you gave her.  I hope you know it.

Emma was a friend of mine in New York.  I remember being so proud of her for working so hard towards her goal of becoming an MD. She was smart, funny, and beautiful. Emma, I know you cared about the people you treated. You had a good heart. I hope you have found peace and please know that you will be missed. Prayers to her and her family at this time.
