This is from Velma Major- Troko. I send my deepest condolences to Yvonne, Kiah and all the Families for the passing of Cousin Frances.  I know you will miss her very much and we share in that.  
 My fondest memory and gratitude of Cousin Frances was back in July 1980 ,during the height of the Civil War in Liberia.   With all the restrictions imposed, Kiah's wedding also pending, she agreed to make the bridesmaids dresses for my wedding.  I don't think we paid any money to her  for making them.  How generous and selfless with her time and gifting. Thank you Cousin Frances.  Rest in eternal peace with Jesus.

Dear Yvonne, Frank & Family, l heard of Mom's passing with deepest sorrow. Even though l never met her in person l was always comforted by her warm, gentle voice. She always,rightly identified me  whenever l just called to say hello. I'll surely miss her forever but l know that her work is done on earth and she has gone to her Maker. I remember when I was getting married and looking for a wedding dress. My dream dress was going to cost way above what I could afford. Mama Frances looked at the dress I wanted and said she could make it and she knew just where to purchase the lace we needed. We went and found the lace from a street vendor, purchased the rest of  material needed. When I asked how much she would charge, Mama Frances said she needed to think about it, 

Wedding day comes and when I asked about the cost, Mama hugged me and kissed my cheek and said. “That’s my wedding gift to you my sweet daughter!” 

Kindest sweetest person! Going to miss you! RIP! Say hi to Papa, Dada and Yao!

Aunty Frances your life was a blessing to all. We will always cherish those precious memories 💖 💕, your conversations. You are loved beyond words and will be missed. We love 💘 you, but God's loves you best.

Mama Frances, you're gone forever and we will never see each other again. We will miss you but you will always be in our heart. We cherish your sweet memories and your soft voice echoes. Now that you have crossed the bar to the other side, you will surely see your Pilot face to face  and rejoice therein. Mama Frances,  be safe in the arms of  Jesus and rest peacefully on His gentle breast. Fare thee well Mum and sleep on.

I had the pleasure of meeting your mother and grandmother perhaps a dozen times during short visits. I was always impressed by Francis's dignified and very kind nature. She was always interested in my family's well being and happenings. I am sure she touched countless people with  her love and compassion. We will all certainly miss her, but we will have those wonderful memories to sustain us.

It is with great sadness to know about the passing of Frances Grigsby.  She was a woman of God, whose heart was filled with peace as I saw it.  Each time I would come or call when Yvonne was not home, she and I would have not just an exchange of pleasantries but one that leads to a nice heart-warming conversation. I called her Mom because that's how I felt about her.  I always felt at home with her around.  With each little true story of life that I would relate to her---she would quickly describe what I observed was a sound analysis and wisdom that parallel those stories in the bible.  She would always ask how my children are doing.  She had a very positive outlook in life even in the midst of life's challenges.  She will be sorely missed by close friends and loved ones.  Her soft sweet voice still rings in my ear as I write this.  She will certainly dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Mother and aunty. Thanks for your love and selflessness, for accepting me as your daughter, for caring for me as your own. 
You were and are my inspiration - a godly Christian woman. You were the personification of Christ to me. Without artifice, you genuinely portray Christ-likeness in all your actions with a smile. You were a blessing. My angel.
I miss you. I love you. Now that you are with our Father, keep watch over us with that same love, care, and smile.
