Frank Curtis “Curt” Filter, age 93, passed away October 8, 2010. He was born February 20, 1917 in Adrian, MI to August and Belle (Pritchard) Filter. Curt honorably served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He also attended Annapolis Academy. A graduate of MSU, he was employed at the university for 30 years in the Physical Plant.
Preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy; and his parents.
Surviving are 2 sons, John C. Filter (Karen) of Kalamazoo, MI and Michael R. (Terry) Filter of CA; grandchildren, Kelly (Brad) Petersen, Katie Filter, Curtis Filter, Claire Filter, Ryan O’Connor, and Lauren O’Conner; sister, Doris Cunningham; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Quincy.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 13, 2010at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Road, East Lansing, MI with the Rev. Mark Inglot officiating. Interment immediately following in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-7 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Avenue, East Lansing, MI.
