

Williamston, Michigan
Age 62, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 19, 1949 in Spokane, WA to Nelson and Mabel Cordill. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Washington State University in Home Economics, Masters/Specialist Degree from Central Missouri State University in Traffic Safety Education and her Ph.D. from Michigan State University in Curriculum Development, specializing in Traffic Safety. Ann was an executive for the State of Michigan with Secretary of State, Richard H. Austin for 20 years. She went on to work for the Michigan Dept. of Education, from there she went to work for Williamston Community Schools for several years. Ann then became a real estate agent for Coldwell Banker and then ReMax where she was a top producing agent and Associate Broker, ABR and E-PRO. She was a founding member of the Williamston Sunrise Rotary Club. Ann was also very active in the Williamston Chamber of Commerce and Williamston Garden Club where she was a Master Gardener. She was a member of Greater Lansing Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, the Women’s Association of Realtors, Lansing Turbo Network, BNI (Business Networking International) and MABA. She was a former board member of the Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan. Ann was very active in her parish, St. Mary Catholic Church of Williamston. She was very passionate about education.
Ann is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Suzanne Johnson and Gramzi to Anna and Abraham O’Connor whom she loved and adored; sister, Kay (Mike) Poff; brother, Nelson (Ronda) Cordill, Jr., dear friends, Rich and Patty Baldwin and other dear friends who were by her side through her illness, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her dear grandmother, Ivy Cordill.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Peter J. Clark as celebrant. Rite of Christian burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 5-8 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m.
