On November 30th 2017 we had to say goodbye to the matriarch of our family. Imogene C. Wright, age 90 passed away peacefully and on her own terms. She was born Oct. 20, 1927 in Lansing to Floyd and Ilah Wright. Surviving are her daughters, Haven King of Williamston; grandchildren, Shannon Strobel of Williamston, Shellie (Paul) Finn of Williamston; Great-grandchildren, Connor and McKenna Finn of Williamston, and also daughter, Vicki Loveall of Lansing; grandchildren, Angie Spaeth of Grand Ledge, Jimmy Loveall of Niles, Jennifer Loveall of Lansing; nine great-grandchildren, 18 great-great-grandchildren and one brother, LaVern (Barbara) Wright of Laingsburg and many nieces and nephews. Imogene had countless friends that she loved as family – far too many to mention but you know who you are. She was a giver by nature and was the owner of two assisted living facilities…It was at Imys and Grandma’s Pad that she gave so much of herself to her residents…she loved them and her staff and spoke of them often. We would like to recognize the support we received from the Grace Hospice angels…they held us up! And to the staff at Home Sweet Home a big Thank you for her excellent care, Stacie Duke, Teresa Ryder, Candy Buckmaster, Debbie Argumedo, Laurie Musser, Courtney Jones, Jonna Baldwin and Breeonna Schmidt. Imogene has requested that there be no traditional service. We will have an informal memorial this summer in her honor. We will miss her every day from this day forward. Those desiring can make donation to Capital Area Humane Society, 7095 West Grand River Ave, Lansing, MI 48906
The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 East Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.greastlansing.com.
