Jean Elizabeth Medick Carleton

Jean Elizabeth Medick Carleton, 57, went to be with the lord on September 17, 2014 after a short battle with cancer. Jean was born on July 18, 1957 in New York City, NY., to Matthew A. Medick and Jean M. Costigan. Jean’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her beloved cats. Jean also loved spending time with her family both at home and at the summer cottage on Lake Michigan where she could be found sitting on the beach enjoying the sound of the waves and the warm summer breeze. When Jean became an Aunt she took her job very seriously and showered then with love. Jean was adored by all of her nieces and nephews.

Jean is preceded in death by her father Matthew A. Medick and several aunts and Uncles. Surviving family members include her mother, Jean M. Costigan (Matthew), sisters Cynthia A. Smith and Julia E. Medick, brothers Matthew A. Medick Jr. (Kristine), and John J. Medick, Nieces Jaclyn M. Austin (Dustin), Nicole E. Smith, Casey M. Smith, Peyton Rose Smith, Courtney Medick, and nephew Michael Medick, and great niece Molly Marie Austin (Jaclyn).
