Katelyn Elisabeth Ostrander

Katelyn was born May 10, 1981, Lansing, MI to Robert and Mary (Hoolsema) Stevens, Jr. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend whose Christian faith was very important to her. Katelyn met the love of her life at church camp and married him February 26, 2005. She was active in her church, enjoyed golfing and loved raising her children in Christ. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert A. Stevens, III. Surviving is her husband, Chad; children Evangeline, Celia and Simeon; parents Robert and Mary; brother Eric Stevens and sisters Anne (Andy) Croel and Taylor (Tony) Heald; father-in-law Dale Metts and mother-in-law Sharon Metts; brothers-in-law, Shannon (Christa) Ostrander and David (Amy) Metts. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2015, 1 pm at Portland United Methodist Church, 310 E. Bridge Street, Portland, MI with Senior Pastor Mark Kring of New Hope Community Church, Haslett, officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 31, 2015, 5-7 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 East Grand River Avenue, East Lansing. There will also be visitation on Monday, June 1, 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home and 2 hours prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. She passed away unexpectedly and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be created for the children of Katelyn and Chad.
