Linda McRorie Chadderdon, age 76, passed away on December 10th in Williamston MI. Linda was born on May 31, 1947 in Flint Michigan to her loving parents William Claude McRorie and Shirley Jean (Chadderdon) McRorie. Linda was a proud graduate of Michigan State University where she remained after her studies as Communications Director for the College of Veterinary Medicine until her retirement in 2011.
Linda was a truly unique and wonderful woman, she was a lover of all music, literature, cinema and art and held a voracious hunger for new information of any type or substance. A kind and gentle soul who made an impact on literally every person she met. She took great pleasure in conversations of any type and truly enjoyed a thorough debate in which two capable minds could explore every facet of a topic and considered it a success if at the end, both people left more confused and unsure of a position than when they began.
Linda amassed a near comically large group of friends that she truly adored, offering proof of the positivity and love which she poured into the world during her time. Linda was not conventionally religious; however, she believed that energy cannot be created, nor destroyed and that her earthly energy has been returned into the universe. Her relatives and friends are eternally grateful to have been surrounded by her beautiful energy during her time with us. Linda will be truly missed by all of those whose lives she touched.
Linda is survived by her son Allen Chadderdon(Fiancée Audrey Kingdon), Grandson August Chadderdon, sister Marsha McRorie (Craig) Lesley and brother Scott (Cathy) McRorie, Brother-in-law Paul Hackl nephews Rick (Sue) Lesley, Scott (Sharon) McRorie, Michael (Tina) McRorie, Adam (Ashley) Keen, nieces Julia (Mark) McBride, Ashley (Danny) Partin, and many grand-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents William Claude McRorie, Shirley Jean (Chadderdon) McRorie and her sister Teresa (McRorie) Hackl.
