

Margaret Ann Stevens was born December 26, 1933 and passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 9, 2024. Margaret was born in St. Johns, MI to Margaret and Fred Watts. Margaret attended nursing school in Saginaw and made her career as a nurse at Provincial House and St. Lawrence Hospital. She married her wonderful husband, Robert Stevens on August 21, 1955 and was married for 62 years before his passing.
She leaves behind 3 children, Linda (Bob), Lesa and Mark (Lauren), and granddaughter, Mackenzie Stevens; brother and sister in law, John (Bertha) nieces and nephews. Margaret enjoyed travelling and going on cruises. There were many pool parties at the Stevens home and Margaret was always a gracious host to young and old alike. Margaret was also an avid Euchre player.
Throughout her nursing career, Margaret was involved in the professional nursing association and travelled to various states throughout to further her knowledge of nursing. After retiring from St. Lawrence Hospital, Margaret continued her nursing career as a volunteer at the American Red Cross at the Military Entrance Processing station in Lansing, MI. For her outstanding work as a volunteer, Margaret was awarded The American Red Cross Outstanding Volunteer Award in 1999 and the 2008 Outstanding Volunteer Service Award.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Saginaw General Hospital School of Nursing Alumni.
