Mark Dwyer Ferency

Haslett, Michigan

Age 59, passed away from natural causes on December 8, 2010. Mark was born January 1, 1951 in Detroit, to Zolton and Ellen Ferency. He graduated from East Lansing High School in 1969 and has a Bachelor’s Degree from U of M. Mark was a longtime craftsman in the construction field and worked for Don Hodney of Briarwood Construction and Eugene Townsend. Mark was a true wordsmith. His word skill found its way into a quick wit and profound sense of humor. He ‘brooked no fools’, frequently to the aggravation of his friends. He enjoyed music, history, gardening and current events. Mark was preceded in death by his father and is survived by his mother, Ellen; brother, Michael (Linda Maloney); he was very fond of his nieces and nephews, Sarah, Matthew, Peter, Stephanie and Megan. Services will be Tuesday, December 14, at 2:00 p.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 Grand River Ave, East Lansing. The family will receive friends Monday, December 13, from 5-8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
