Marvin Breedlove

He was born September 4, 1946 in Lansing, Michigan to Marvin and Rose (Haines) Breedlove. Marvin worked for many years as an IT Supervisor for the State of Michigan, and after retiring from the State, was a successful realtor. He had a sense of wanderlust and loved to travel, and his favorite place was Gulf Shores, Alabama in the winter. He was introduced to golf in the last year, and got really good really quickly: he enjoyed walking the courses, the challenge of the game, and sharing it with many friends and family members. Marvin had the patience of a saint, the best sense of humor, and above all, a love for people.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Rose Breedlove; his daughter, Deborah Michelle Layman; and his granddaughter, Lauren Joy Breedlove.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Darlene, who he married at Chapel of the Bells in Las Vegas, the same chapel where his daughter Deborah was married; his son, Robert Paul Breedlove; his step-daughters, Stacy (John) Foster and Lisa (Forrest) Tramper; his grandchildren, Kyle (Lindsey) Barnard, Kevin (Andrea) Polhemus, Kenneth Polhemus, Kalin Layman, and Austin Layman; his great-grandchildren, Hadley and Haisley Barnard; and his brother, Robert Lynn Breedlove.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 1pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
