Marvin M. Preston

Marvin M. Preston of Okemos, age 80, passed away May 24, 2015. Marvin was born August 8, 1934 in Anderson, IN to Vearl and Pauline (McCord) Preston. He retired from MSU as the Director of the Ingham County Cooperative Extension Service. He was an avid coin and pocket knife collector; enjoyed fishing, playing cribbage and was a devoted Spartan fan. Marvin was loyal to family, friends and business associates.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Preston; surviving are his children, Debra Preston, Roger (Kathie) Preston, Brian Preston and Rebecca Preston; four grandchildren, Andy Preston, Joshua, Shane and Brenna Etherton; brother Donald (Norma) Preston and special friend, Linda Jubeck.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015, noon at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 East Grand River Avenue, East Lansing with Rev. Bo Rin Cho officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 29, 2015 from 7-9 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
