Michael D. McIntyre

Mike was born May 2, 1948 in Pontiac, Michigan to Robert and Betty McIntyre and died May 13, 2012 after suffering a massive stroke.

Mike attended Michigan State University and Wayne State University and lived and practiced as a CPA/Attorney in Okemos since 1978. He was highly respected for his knowledge of Cooperative law. He was always eager to share this knowledge with others.

Mike’s greatest love was spending time with his family. He loved to travel, especially to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. His sense of adventure and travelling the back roads was legendary, leading anyone travelling with him to explore places unknown.

At Michigan State he met his wife Mary and they shared 42 wonderful years together. He was a proud and loving father to his children Anna and Andy whom he adored.

Mike survive3d by his wife Mary of Okemos; daughter, Anna of Holt; son Andy of New Bern, NC; sisters, Linda (Bill) Henderson, Jill (Tim) Weiler and Cathryn McIntyre; in-laws, Alex and Lillian Alexandris; brother-in-law,

Tom (Nan) Alexandris; nephews, Christopher (wife, Wendy and daughter,Brianna) Alexandris, Stephen (wife, Karen and children, Reese and Grayson) Alexandris, Steven Weiler and niece, Kelly Weiler.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 18 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 218 W. Ottawa, Lansing, with Rev. Kevin C. Warner, officiating.
