Michaelle Joy Rehmann

Michaelle Joy Rehmann, 40, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born March 8, 1977 to Steven and Anne (Wood) McNair in Charlotte, Michigan. She married Kent Rehmann on October 10, 1997 and together, they welcomed their beloved son Tristan five years ago. Michaelle loved her family dearly, spending every holiday and special occasion with them. She enjoyed gardening, going to the dunes, and traveling.

Michaelle had a heart for nourishing others – she advocated for the inclusion of fresh fruits and vegetables in public school systems and throughout Michigan and the Midwest, and succeeded in incorporating fresh, locally produced into the diets of countless Michigan residents. She served as an Ann Arbor Farmer’s Market inspector, ensuring quality for all.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Norman and Adona Wood, and her paternal grandparents, Willis and Murryne McNair.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Kent; her son, Tristan; her parents; her brothers, Eric (Sarah) and Aaron (Kelsey) McNair; and her grandmother, Nancy Wood.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at 2:00pm at Edgewood United Church, 469 Hagadorn Rd., East Lansing. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 2pm until 4pm and again from 6pm until 8pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing.
